Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes a red, itchy, scaly rash that commonly appears on the knees, elbows, and scalp. It is a common, long-term disease and can spread to different areas of the body.
Psoriasis on the scalp can be mild and unnoticeable, but it can also cause thick crusted sores with can lead to skin infections and damage hair follicles. This directly contributes to hair loss as it encourages itching, scratching and infection.
Regrow helps soothe psoriasis by balancing the overactive oil glands in the scalp using active ingredients such as saw palmetto. Our shampoo, conditioner and tonic also balances out the PH levels of the scalp and allows the pores and DHT build up to dissipate thanks to high purity saw palmetto and caffeine.
One of the biggest factors making Regrow so effective for treatment of psoriasis is that no harmful chemicals are used in our products, and instead we included soothing, cooling, and anti-inflammatory botanicals such as rosemary, nettle, menthol and green tea extract. Our products also include high purity biotin and niacin to help protein back to the scalp which aids healthier hair and scalp.
Regrow’s hair care range contains NO sulfates, parabens, MEA, DEA, or silicones, which are harmful chemicals that actively irritate these conditions.
While we know our hair care products will make a difference, it’s always important to see a dermatologist for a comprehensive care plan.
Dandruff
Much like hair loss, dandruff is caused by so many factors and conditions. Men are more likely to suffer from dandruff and the most common cause is a dry scalp.
Scalp dryness happens when the scalp does not have enough oil for the skin to feel lubricated and can result in itching, flaking and irritation. It can also cause the hair to be dry as oil from the scalp conditions the hair.
Factors that contribute to scalp dryness include excessive washing, harsh products being used, dermatitis, dry cold air, infrequent hair washing, just to list a few. Dandruff is the build up of skin cells that are being shed at a faster rate and can typically be treated with specialised hair care products.
Regrow treats dandruff by balancing the overactive oil glands in the scalp using active ingredients such as saw palmetto. Our shampoo, conditioner and tonic also balances out the PH levels of the scalp and allows the pores and DHT build up to dissipate thanks to high purity saw palmetto and caffeine.

Other tips to treat dandruff:
- Cut down the number of times you wash your hair
- Drink more water
- Consider a humidifier in the home.
Fungal Infection
Scalp irritation can also be caused by fungal infections and symptoms are often similar to other scalp conditions such as eczema. If you notice itching that doesn’t ease, or a rash that has a red border rather than scaling of scabbing, it is time to see your doctor!
Once your fungal infection is cleared, you can add Regrow hair care products into your self-care routine to repair and soothe your scalp and hair follicles.
Regrow can’t treat fungal conditions on the scalp, but our shampoo, conditioner and tonic can help your skin recover faster. Botanical ingredients such as rosemary, nettle, menthol and green tea extract are soothing, cooling, and anti-inflammatory, while saw palmetto and caffeine allows the build up of DHT (stress hormone) to dissipate so your follicles can get back to growing fabulous locks!
