Does Regrow work?

Yes absolutely, so long as you get it early enough. Prevention and early intervention is absolute key here. We use scientifically proven natural active ingredients, you can read about them here. As a guide, if your follicle goes into rest mode for longer than 3 years, then that follicle will now be unable to grow back on its own no matter what you use. This is of course a rough guide as some follicles will last longer, and sadly some less.

Sometimes with extreme and quick hair loss you may need to use a combination of Regrow Products and medical. If that is the case, you may want to see your doctor to get a proper diagnosis. In the meantime, click here for more information.

If you have bald shiny patches, this is a sign that the follicle has sadly died (except in Alopecia Areata). You may need to look at a transplant surgeon for this. If you do go down this track, we still suggest you use Regrow to make sure that you keep the follicles that you have.

Why is my hair falling out?

On the whole, there are a lot of reasons why your hair is falling out, but it all comes down to two main factors:

DHT and poor blood circulation to the hair follicles.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is made from testosterone by an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase (5AR) which latches onto the base of your follicle and constantly grows. As it grows, your follicle shrinks eventually making the hair fall out. Regrow aims to stunt the growth of DHT by using high grade Saw Palmetto and Caffeine which are known DHT blockers. Regrow=1, DHT=0. Winning!

Hair follicles are nourished by your blood, so if you have poor circulation to your scalp your hair isn’t getting the goodies it needs, and like any of us deprived of our favourite meal it loses the will to live and moves on. This is where our powerhouse team of Biotin and Niacin come to the rescue. Proven to increase blood flow straight to the follicle to ensure all the nutrients are going straight to the source. We apply it straight to the scalp, not through your body with harmful medication. Conclusion, hungry shrunken hair follicles don’t stick around for long.

What are the different types of hair loss?

Keep reading below to see which form of hair loss you may be experiencing.

This one is genetics and it can be inherited from either side of the family tree, just like any other gene (thanks Grandma). It comes from an overproduction of a testosterone called DHT, yes, we have it too. This can either become prevalent with age, or be triggered by a major stress in the body, such as pregnancy, menopause, autoimmune disease, surgery or medication. Once the DHT, (or as the fancy scientists say Dihydrotestosterone) builds up around the follicle it starts to cause damage to the hair. The hair then in turn becomes weaker and weaker until it eventually falls out. Generally, by the time your hair is actually falling out, you have already noticed your hair becoming more fragile. This is one of the first signs of hair loss, weak brittle hair. Once the hair falls out, the follicles remain in a deep sleep before eventually dying approximately 3 years later. If you’re not the type of girl who is going to sit around waiting for a fairy tale prince to come along and kiss the follicle to wake it back up, then it’s definitely important to start treating it straight away. We suggest really hitting it from all angles with the shampoo, conditioner, tonic and the derma roller. We are going to wake those follicles back up ourselves.

The causes of traction alopecia are generally caused by everyday strains on the hair, such as hair tightly braided, harsh chemicals used on your hair, hair extensions, or constantly wearing wigs or anything else that is damaging to the hair. This constant damage and pulling on the hair follicle will weaken it. If left too long, it can damage the follicle to the point of no return. However, if you act quickly, you can reverse these effects by getting circulation back to the damaged follicle. Regrow can help with this by using oxygenated rainwater and products such as Niacinamide (B3) and Biotin (B7) in high purity. These are specifically added to our products to generate more blood flow directly to the scalp without you having to take harmful medication. For best results, you may need to consider what has caused this in the first place. It may be a time to go back to your natural hair and let it rest for a while.

This is a rapid shedding of hair caused by major stress in the body such as surgery, extreme weight loss, anaemia or having a baby. You may want to have a chat to your doctor just to make sure everything is ok and that it isn’t caused by something more serious. Once diagnosed properly, this is considered a temporary condition. We still recommend using our Regrow products, so the new hair comes through stronger and faster.

Not to be confused with Telogen Effluvium, it can also a rapid shedding of hair however it is during the growth cycle (Anagen). This can happen due to medications such as chemotherapy or other drugs, toxins, radiation or to individuals with an autoimmune disease. Basically, anything that causes a disruption with the cell division in your hair making the hair narrower at the base and more likely to break or fall out. Whilst still under medical treatment such as chemotherapy, Anagen Effluvium can’t be fixed however, the hair should start to grow back between 3 to 6 months after finishing medication. Regrow can help the follicles come through stronger and faster.
